Riviera Maya - Paradise Perfect for 2021
We made it, 2020 is finally over and it is safe to say that not a single one of us could’ve imagined the kind of year it was going to be. And while the changing calendar doesn’t magically cure Covid-19 and the plethora of problems that it brought on, we can rejoice in knowing that this year will be better.
Beginning with the incredible news that Mexico and other countries have already begun implementing vaccination plans that give us a light at the end of the pandemic tunnel. Meanwhile we continue our steady return to a safe normality, and the best of part of said normality is the vacations.
And for vacations in 2021 there won’t be a better destination than the Riviera Maya. An incredible, beautiful, fun, and most importantly safe destination. Thanks to the efforts undertaken jointly by locals and local government and the implementation of the strictest safety protocols the Mexican Caribbean was able to remain open and healthy throughout all of 2020. This effort received international recognition in May of last year when Cancún and the Riviera Maya became one of the first 7 places in the world and the first in America to be awarded the Global Safety Stamp by the World Travel and Tourism Council.
And we never let our guard down, that is why we are able to begin 2021 with the right foot. Recently we experienced the return of more flights from North America and Europe as well as new routes. And the reopening of hotels and attractions continues steadily while sanitary measures remain in place. Practically all of the Riviera Maya’s natural and cultural attractions have reopened by now so visitors can get the whole Riviera Maya experience with a safety that few other places have been able to match; and that will continue to improve.
Although the nightlife, the famous music and art festivals and Spring Break parties that liven up the Riviera Maya are still cancelled until further notice, most other tourism life has returned to normal. In 2021 you will be able to come here and enjoy beaches, cenotes, the Mayan culture, an incredible gastronomic offering and some of the worlds best resorts in this sliver of paradise that takes care of you and your loved ones.
